The Path to AI

Start with compliance and context

Bring AI into your customer communications without giving up control. DocPath keeps a core without AI that is compliant by design. It gives AI the customer context it needs and traces everything AI touches.

Why "The Path to AI"

AI is only as reliable as the foundation beneath it

Banks, insurers, utilities and telcos are under pressure to bring AI into the way they serve and communicate with customers. But their customer data is spread across legacy applications, mainframes, ERP, CRM and archives. Their communications are regulated, and every message carries the brand. An AI agent that works without context, without traceability or without approved content creates risk, not value.

The Path to AI is DocPath's approach to that challenge. A core with no AI handles your data, your approved content and your business rules. AI is then added where it adds value, with full customer context and full traceability.

Compliance by design

Compliance starts with a core without AI

Regulated communications have to be right every time. That means who can read them, which personal data they include, what was sent to whom and how long it is kept. When the content is generated by an AI model, proving that it was right becomes much harder.

DocPath's core does not use AI. Documents and communications are produced from your data, your centrally approved templates and your business rules, so the same input always leads to the same, verifiable output. That makes it easier to meet the regulations that apply to documents, data management and customer communications.

  • Accessibility

Generate accessible digital documents designed to align with the WCAG guidelines, helping you meet requirements such as the European Accessibility Act.

  • Electronic records

Support requirements for controlled, traceable electronic records and signatures, such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

  • U.S. data protection and privacy

Apply your rules on which personal data appears in each communication, helping you meet U.S. regulations such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and, where health information is involved, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

  • European data protection

The same approach helps you meet the GDPR when you operate in Europe.

  • Audit and retention

Keep a record of what was generated and delivered, and archive it in HubPath so it can be found whenever an audit, a dispute or a customer request requires it.

Compliance with any regulation depends on how each organization configures and uses the solution. This page is not legal advice.

Customer context and 360° view

Context is what makes AI intelligent

An AI agent can only answer well about a customer it actually knows. In most organizations, that knowledge is split across systems that were never designed to work together.

DocPath solutions integrate with the many sources where customer data lives: legacy applications, mainframes, ERP, CRM and the documents in your archive. A contract signed fifteen years ago, a form the customer filled in last week and the communications they have received all become part of the same picture. That context gives your teams, and any AI you choose to add, a 360° view of each customer.

Each solution can be deployed on its own, and each adds to the context available to the others.

Traceable AI

Data at the core, AI where it adds value

For a regulated organization, "the AI did it" is not an answer an auditor or a customer will accept.

Because DocPath's core is deterministic and under your control, you decide where AI is integrated in the customer journey. You might use it to turn an insurance policy into an explanatory video or to support a conversational agent that answers customer questions. Everything that passes through AI is fully traced.

  2. 02
WhatWhat was done, and with which content.
  3. 03

AI agents with humans in the lead

AI agents that can send regulated communications, with humans in the lead

Letting an AI agent send a contract, a statement or a regulatory notice is a step most organizations cannot take, because they cannot guarantee what a generative model will write.

With DocPath, the agent does not generate the document. It integrates with DocPath, which works behind it. The agent identifies what the customer needs, and DocPath produces the communication from approved templates, your data and your business rules. People are not just in the loop, checking outputs after the fact. They are in the lead, because they approved in advance the content that is allowed to leave the organization.
