• Two years after opening of its first software factory in Miguelturra, Ciudad Real, DocPath has opened a second center that will amplify professional opportunities in the Spanish region of La Mancha.

Atlanta, July 6, 2010 DocPath, a leading producer of document software solutions, has announced that despite the financial crisis, it has increased its worldwide workforce by 20 per cent in the first six months of the year.

At the beginning of 2010, the company had 80 employees, today this figure has risen to 100. Most of the additions have been young people under the age of 30 while over 90% of its contract workers have become permanent employees after a short trial period.

Beginning new business ventures has made this growth possible, as Julio Olivares, president and founder of DocPath explained: “Less than two months ago, we launched Consulting & Projects, a new business area designed to meet the demand of our customers for consultation services. To ensure that it functions properly, we decided to hire people that specialize in this field. Meanwhile, the software factory that we opened two years ago in Spain has functioned much better than we expected and we decided to open a new center there.”

Although the new center has only been operating for a few months, soon more technical personnel will have to be hired. “The idea is to develop solutions that go beyond the document software that we’re accustomed to. The financial market will be the main focus of this new division, which we expect to be up and running by the end of this year,” added Olivares.

International expansion, essential motivator for business

DocPath´s consolidation in the American market has become a reality. In 2008, the company acquired Resolutions enterprise, located in Atlanta. Since then, its number of customers has grown, with 30 percent of the group’s annual revenues coming through this subsidiary.

With offices in the United States, Brazil, Chile and Spain and a channel program launched in April 2009, in less than 20 years, DocPath has become an authentic worldwide reference for document software, which has meant the creation of new jobs.

The company expects this trend to continue, as their contracts continue to increase from now to the end of the year. Olivares concluded: “In its traditional survey of the ten top priorities of CIOs, Gartner indicated that document software would be one of the leading technologies in 2010. The crisis is forcing Systems departments to do more with less and this includes optimizing internal processes and reducing costs. Something that any company can get with this type of technology.”
