DocPath´s document technology software has evolved into an essential tool of operation for an important Brazilian bank, before and after its merger.
A large financial conglomerate
A merger of two important Brazilian banks resulted in the creation of the largest private, financial conglomerate of the southern hemisphere and one of the 20 most important private banks in the world, with a market value that situated the new bank among the 15 largest financial institutions worldwide.
DocPath´s involvement in the project began when one of the bank entities, before the merger, purchased DocPath document technology software. More specifically, the bank implemented DocPath´s Remote Office Printing and WebDocs Generation solutions.
As a result of the strong and cooperative relationship between DocPath and its client, DocPath solutions became an important part of the bank´s daily operations, since its business documents were designed with DocPath software.
When the two bank entities merged in November, 2008, a new Brazilian bank was founded, which positioned itself as an ally of national companies to obtain a place among the new global competitors. The resulting financial conglomerate renewed its confidence in the DocPath solutions, which it continued to use in new projects. As such, the integration of DocPath solutions proved to be a continuation of previous operations.
The right response
The large dimensions of the new bank demanded specific solutions. Once again, DocPath was able to provide the perfect response with its Remote Office Printing and WebDocs Generation solutions, between 2009 and 2010. In this same period, the financial enterprise also purchased a variety of modular DocPath products.
More specifically, this time the bank needed more powerful document tools to be able to generate very complex Excel spreadsheets that would contain other spreadsheets and dynamic charts.
The pilot project
The bank´s need to generate highly complex Excel spreadsheets and the excellent relationship between both companies led to an interesting proposal in 2011. DocPath offered the bank the opportunity to be the first company to use Ipanema Technology, the new core technology of DocPath‘s document software.
A technological revolution
The main goal of Ipanema Technology is to bring about all the possibilities of document technology to all types of users and companies. This means eliminating the confines of technological possibilities in previous and existing document software. Thanks to this new technology, users are equipped with a highly intuitive and straightforward interface, overall performance is improved and more input and output formats are supported thanks to the XML language, among other advantages. Moreover, Ipanema Technology includes a document design environment that is easy to use and is multilingual.
Technological challenges
Thanks to DocPath’s Ipanema Technology, the bank was able to generate the new and complex Excel spreadsheets, the design of which was one of its priorities.
The atmosphere of mutual confidence and cooperation motivated the bank to entrust DocPath with new technological challenges, which have been developed satisfactorily and have been very positively assessed by the client.
This cooperation is beneficial for both parties. The bank, on the one hand, manages to solve its specific business needs and to meet its established goals; and DocPath, on the other hand, obtains first-hand knowledge of how to meet the particular requirements of the banking sector.
